I used to read spooky books by candlelight.
I used to read scifi books by LED light.
I used to read mysteries by an old flashlight.
I used to read star maps by red light.
I used to read a compass by moonlight.

Now most of the books provide their own light, and it makes my dreams dark.

I find myself saying "used to" a lot these days.
