Yes, I did it again! I fixed an old Radio made in the early seventies by Kenwood. And now that it's finished, I don't know what to do with it. Always the same! Anyway here is the story.
A voltmeter made by Faria USA seemed to be faulty. However, the problem was quickly found. A very unusal error - or better let's call it a kind of a bug.

Finally I fixed a heirloom from my grandparents. It is a old tube radio from year 1959 that really is a visual gem. And now it is a gem for ears too. It is a radio set made by RFT Sternradio Sonneberg (Sonra), a german producer. A Super 8118/58 GWU 3D Erfurt2. The story of the restauration is written down for you here.

I got years ago a broken cassette recorder made by Sharp. It is a GF-5757HB from 1985. And yes, I had to fix it because I can't kill such a piece of culture from the eighties. Read the story here.

I like to introduce a german pocket watch with jump cover in plated gold. This watch is in fantastic shape and has had an eventful life. It was manufactured in Pforzheim Germany around 1930. If you interested in this you should look here for some pictures.
I got a bath radio to fix it. The radio did only sometimes respond to the on-off-switch. What I found inside this cheap radio was an SDR Chip (KT0936M). The radio was in shape like a litte duck - really nice. Look here for some pictures.

...an then there was suddenly advent season.
I had to do something! But what? Well... Find it out! For a fine piece of german craftmanship watch the video. :-)
It took me several hours to build it. At first there was only an idea. Then I made some drawings to get the ideas down on paper. First only rough drafts, then detailed templates. I later bought plywood to help make the Christmas pyramid project a reality. The templates were transferred to the plywood and then hand sawed out with a fretsaw. Finally everything glued together - done!
An absolute uniqueness. Not very pretty, but handmade. :-D
