Look at the date - it's Sunday! Not very exciting to most I suppose, but this is a revolution for me. Never before have I had an Internet connection on my own machine, and this is my first ever blog from my first ever 56k dialup. Well I thought it was cool anyway.

I've just returned from the worst journey I have ever undertaken in a car. The parents didn't want me to drive home on any motorways so I had to plan a route that was entirely on "A" roads. The idea was simple:

Notts -> Derby

Derby -> Stoke

Stoke -> Shrewsbury

Shrewsbury -> Welshpool

Welshpool -> Machynlleth

Machynlleth -> Aberystwyth

Simple huh? I thought so. Then I got on the various planned "A" roads and found they were speed restricted, some as low as 30 Mph. Wasn't even as if I could speed, they were clearly very heavily monitored roads with speed cameras after every bend and hill. How they can claim they aren't designed to "catch people out" I do not know. I left about 11:00 or so and got in at 7:30 or so. It'd have been quicker catching the train. My legs are killing me. Anyway, I'm going to eat some food then go to bed.
