I got my wish

Yesterday was incredibly sunny, so I decided "to hell with the dissertation, I'm going out for a walk". I wandered into the woods next to PJM as I've never really explored them and found myself somewhere I've never seen before. There was a lovely little stream babbling down the hill with a thich canopy of trees. I wandered around here a while absolutely enthralled and then decided to go home and get my camera. I went back down and took some pictures and marvelled at how quiet it was down there - I didn't see another soul the whole time.

After I'd taken the pictures I carried on down towards the bottom of the hill where I passed through a gate. Looking at the gate I soon discovered why I hadn't seen a soul: It was private property. Ah well, I'd spent half the morning there already, so I wandered back up the hill through it anyway.

Once I'd got back up to the house I got in the car and went to Ynyslas with a friend. I parked the car up and we wandered down the beach, chatting. We got all the way down the beach and suddenly realised just how long Ynyslas is. By the time we got back we were both shattered. With spending all of my time in front of a computer these days I have no leg muscles left so it was quite a hard walk.

Once I got back to the house again I was completely shattered. At around 8pm I lay down on the bed, and woke up again this morning at 6am. Splendid! A sensible amount of sleep for the first time since I can remember.
