Daniel Rojatz was invited to be part of the RENITENZ Magazine and to design 11 cover artworks for this extraordinary publication. RENITENZ is published annually and explores compelling themes from the fields of philosophy, history, art, and culture. Each issue revolves around a central theme, enriched by in-depth content and an exclusive interview with a prominent figure connected to the topic. Renitenz in today's time, against today's time. Amid political back-and-forth, between the dissolution of values and the desperate preservation of traditions, the magazine serves as an ivory tower. Where the world is not at home, there is still something to discover, something to conquer, something to experience. It is a honor to visually accompany this unique project and leave his artistic mark on such a multifaceted and thought-provoking magazine.

EN | daniel rojatz is a photographer and artist living in Austria. He has worked in the field of visual communication and art for more than 20 years.
As an artist, he focuses on abstract compositions, alienation, and density of detail, mainly based on old photographs, fragments of posters, and found objects, weathered and drawn by time. His ‘overpainting’ is closer to calligraphy than to traditional painting, as it focuses less on depiction and more on transformative gestures. it is a search for the moment when documentary becomes an object of creation, the moment when it no longer suffices as mere description and offers the opportunity to transcend what has been seen and found.
‘I’m in search of the aura of the real that was lost in between the original trace and its countless reiterations. I encounter forms and shapes along the way that seem alive, like ghosts. These moments I keep and share as a tribute to their kindness.’
