Experimental extensions under test
Note: the extensions in this section are experimental and not fully tested. So I disclaim all responsibility for unexpected consequences. Feedbacks and suggests are very welcome.
AB IN TAB:
an extension for Thunderbird 3, that allows to open the addressbook in a tab of the main window. To have this, you've to click on the dropdown menu under the "Addressbook" button on toolbar. You can't have more than one instance of the addressbook: so if the addressbook is already open in a separate window, you can't have it open in a tab and viceversa.
Unluckly the addressbook's toolbars are (at least on Linux and Windows) inside the tab and not outside: changing this layout requires a deep rewriting of large part of the code that - in my opinion - can be made just at core level.
PLEASE READ: after having studied carefully the behaviour of the extension, I've come at the conclusion that a valid integration of the addressbook in tabbed display requires a complicate and long work. This is not one of my priorities and so at the moment the development of the extension is not scheduled. Since it is experimental, I advise common users against using it. It's released under GPL and so everyone can reuse and improve its code.
27/12/2009: new 0.1.1 version (compatibility: TB 3.0)
